Why Seedsoflight

Three Pillars of Excellence

01

AMI-Certified Montessori

Our lead teacher holds an authentic AMI diploma — the global gold standard, earned through nine months of rigorous residential training. Every material, every moment in our classroom has intentional purpose.

02

True Bilingual Immersion

Children receive daily immersion in both Mandarin and English — the only dedicated Mandarin-English Montessori school in North Phoenix. Research confirms bilingual children develop superior executive function and lifelong cognitive flexibility.

03

A Community Built for You

Located minutes from TSMC's Fab 21 campus, Seedsoflight was founded specifically to serve the growing Taiwanese and bilingual families of North Phoenix — a school that truly understands your family's needs.

Our Mission
"Every child is a seed of brilliance, waiting to flourish."

Seedsoflight Montessori was founded on a singular belief: that the earliest years are the most critical window for language acquisition, intellectual development, and character formation.

We don't simply teach children facts — we develop thinkers, problem-solvers, and globally-minded individuals who are equally at home in Chinese and American culture.

Our name says it all. 光 means light, radiance, brilliance. 種 means seed, to plant. Together: every thoughtful, curious child will illuminate the world.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child need to speak Mandarin to enroll?+
No Mandarin experience is required. Children are natural language acquirers — immersion from a young age is the most effective method. Both Mandarin-speaking and English-speaking families are welcome, and our bilingual environment benefits all children equally.
What is AMI Montessori certification?+
AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) is the organization founded by Dr. Maria Montessori herself and represents the highest global standard for Montessori education. AMI-certified teachers complete approximately 9 months of rigorous residential training including supervised practice and examinations. Very few programs in Arizona hold this certification.
What is the student-to-teacher ratio?+
We maintain a maximum of 1:10 in Year 1 (18 students with 2 teachers) and will not exceed 1:13 as we grow. Small class sizes allow our teachers to observe each child carefully and provide individualized learning plans.
Where are you located?+
We are located in the North Phoenix / Deer Valley area along the Happy Valley Road corridor — minutes from TSMC's Fab 21 campus. Exact address will be confirmed upon licensing approval. Contact us for the latest location details.
Do you follow the Arizona academic calendar?+
Yes. We follow approximately 200 school days per year aligned with the Deer Valley Unified School District calendar, plus major Chinese cultural holidays including Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, and Qingming. A summer enrichment camp runs 6 weeks from July to August.
How do I enroll my child?+
Begin by scheduling a 90-minute tour and orientation — available in person or via Zoom, in English or Mandarin. After your visit, you'll complete an application and submit the $150 application fee. Enrollment is confirmed upon payment of the registration fee and deposit. Spaces are limited; we recommend applying early.
